Purpose

The purpose of the Group-Assessment is to not only provide data to the teacher about how groups collaborated, but also to provide students with one more opportunity to work together and critically examine how they completed the CSCL tasks. The students must once again collaborate to come up with their answers to the questions.  They have to think about how they worked together, and what they learned collectively, in order to complete the Group-Assessment.

Procedure

Once students have completed the Self-Assessment, they can move on to completing the Group-Assessment. Google Forms was again chosen as the technology medium for its ease of use for students, and data gathering ability for teachers. Students can access the Group-Assessment by navigating to the Student page on the website, and clicking the corresponding button.  The teacher should again encourage students to discuss each question, and provide honest answers. The students will have one iPad per group, and will be submitting only one response per group.  Teacher's can access the results of the assessment by clicking the button below.
